Atomium & Mini Europe

The Atomium is  one of the most popular monuments in Belgium and was built for the world exhibition in 1958. Located between the International Airport of Brussels and the city center, the Atomium is part of the Brussels exhibition park. The monument displays a unit cell of an iron crystal, a raw material that  played an important during  The Industrial revolution.

The 92 meter high monument consists of 9 accesSisble spheres, containing restaurants & bars, meeting rooms and a Museum detailing the history of the Monument and it's construction.  It has a stunning view over the capital and it's surroundings. 

For those who do not dare take  the glass elevator ride to the top, they can also enjoy a miniature version of the Atomium in the mini Europe park.  Part of the Brussels exhibition park located between the Atomium, the Brussels expo, a large cinema complex and a wildwater amusement park, a pathway leads you through a 2.5 ha park and through a miniature version of Europe with all it's most popular sights.
